Middle School Design Competition

The Middle School Design Competition (MSDC) is a competitive design contest open to students in 6th-8th grade. Students must construct a design prior to EOH and bring it to compete against other teams of students. This year’s theme will be catapults, and teams will be asked to design and build catapults that they will then bring the day of the competition to compete against other catapults. The contest will be held on Saturday, March 15th at 9:00 am – 2:00 pm in the Illini Union ABC Rooms.

You can find the registration form here and it is open until February 15th, 2014. Sign up early, as registration will be capped at 60 teams. Each team can have up to 3 students. Teams of four will be accepted, but please try to keep it to three students.

Competition rules are available here.

If you have any questions about the contests, please contact Julia Huynh at (eoh-msdc@ec.illinois.edu).
